Octavia vRS certainly do have different boxes as in wet clutch DSG's rather than DQ200's as fitted to 1.4TSI & all other front wheel drive VW Group engines with no more than 192 ps or 250 Nm. The Polo GTI 1.8 TSI from 2015 has 192 ps and 250Nm with the DSG but 320Nm with the Manual.

The 1.4 TSI engine of the EA111 twincharger line with a capacity of 1390 cm3, equipped with a mechanical compressor and a turbocharger, was produced in 2006 ā 2015. Timing is realized by a chain. This version of the 1.4 TSI engine is produced in power versions of 140 HP, 150 HP, 160 HP, 170 HP, 180 HP and 185 HP.

Misfire on random cylinder and limp mode - random cylinder disabled. Only errors shown in diagnostics are p0300 and then p030x depending on which cylinder misfire occurs. Car is 3000 km after rebuild - new pistons, timing chain, PCV, fuel injectors, Timing Camshaft Control Valve Solenoid.
The 1.4/1.5/2.0 tsi are all not driven by any kind of cambelt/chain so dont need changing at the same rates. Also to anyone comparing the price of a 1.4/1.5 tsi cambelt change, just remember that if you have a hybrid then the price will be more as i believe to get to the end and lock the engine up a lot more bits need removing.
You'd certainly notice an increase to 180/190bhp from 140bhp. Sure it's not quite on par with getting 300+ from a 220/230/245 vRS for £600 but it's not far off from a £ per bhp perspective. I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand.
