Jagr moved into third place on the all-time goal list Feb. 20 when he passed Brett Hull with two goals in a 3-2 victory against the Winnipeg Jets at BB&T Center. His 743 NHL goals trail Gretzky's
All of this to say, Jagr isn't coasting on his iconic status either, registering 10 points in 16 games during the championship run. Jaromir Jagr just had 10 points in 16 playoff games to get the club he owns promoted into the top Czech hockey league.
8. Jagr was the only active player during the 2017-18 season to play in the Boston Garden (six goals and 10 points in nine games) or the Montreal Forum (six goals and seven points in 11 games). 9
In the NHL, Jagr put up 766 goals and 1,155 assists for 1,921 total points in 1,733 games played. That puts him No.2 all-time behind some guy named Gretzky. What’s even wilder is that Jagr took a three-season sabbatical away from the NHL from 2008 to 2011. Had he stuck around in the NHL, he would easily eclipse the 2,000-point mark.
Jagr's still capable of chipping in at least 40 to 50 points, but only if he can find a good fit, which means plentiful power-play time. Jagr continued to defy Father Time last season, stunning the league with 27 goals (his highest NHL total since 2006-07 with the Rangers) and his second campaign over 65 points since turning 40.
Gretzky, the only player to have more than 2,000 points, has 970 more points than the runner-up Messier (and the latter played in 269 more games). The active leader in points, Jaromir Jagr, has
1. Wayne Gretzky (894), 2. Alex Ovechkin (830), 3. Gordie Howe (801), 4. JaromÃr Jágr (766), 5. Brett Hull (741), 6. Marcel Dionne (731), 7. Phil Esposito (717), 8.
The ageless wonder announced that he'll once again suit up at the pro-level, playing a seventh straight season for his hometown Kladno Knights.
Jagr rolled through Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston, New Jersey, Florida, and finally Calgary before unofficially retiring from the NHL (in 2018), finally, at 46-years-old. Jagr finished his NHL career with 1921 points (766g, 1155a), and passed Mark Messier as the second all-time leading scorer. He trails only Wayne Gretzky (2857 points).
